who else! The most competent, intelligent, compassionate, experienced, person running -- Madame President!!

Weather is pretty sucky out here in northeast Ohio. Light snow up around Cleveland - raining to beat the band around Warren (next to the PA state line).

Our precinct was using the touch screen machines that are not secure, like the majority of the state is. But the Secretary of State was able to get the 'fill-in-the-oval' ballots out to Cleveland (majority of African-Americans).

Ohio Secretary of State explaining how our voting machines have critical security failures:
http://www.sos.state.oh.us/sos/info/everest.aspx

There's 18 Congressional Districts in Ohio. 92 Delegates are spread throughout those 18 Districts, with 49 based on the Statewide vote, for a total of 141 Delegates available.

Keep your ears tuned to voting problems in this state. If it wasn't for the disastrous security failures back in 2004, we probably wouldn't have GWBush in office right now.

Anyway -- Go Go Rhode Island, Texas, Vermont, & my fellow Ohioans!!

Jayling :)

Ohio is like Wisconsin in relation to the fact they are used to tough weather, right? If so, then that might not hurt voting at all.

I voted with an early ballot because I wanted to dedicate my time to helping Hillary supporters get to the polls. So far today I took six people to vote.

Awesome, thanks so much floorrunner for doing that! You're a credit to the grassroots of the campaign. It's all about helping each other out!

Hi--Thanks for posting this link. Flooding conditions are awful for all concerned. I'm wondering...if voters in Jefferson County, Ohio get 10 days to vote due to flooding (which I think is fair), then will the final state results be delayed?

Way to go, floorrunner! Thanks for helping folks out like this.

Believe it or not, there's till undecided's up here, even the guy in front of me in line.

The weather is crappy throughout the state, but hey, we're Ohioans and can handle it. Though hopefully the older voters can still get out. A lot of people I've talked to are waiting to vote until after they get off work. Up around where I live, the elderly folks generally vote early in the morning. Since we didn't have black ice, just downpours, they probably got out pretty well. Hopefully.

The Secretary of State did get a judge to approve provisional balloting down in Steubenville (Jefferson County) because of the flooding. I think she's keeping a close eye on central and the southeast part of the state in case an order needs to be put in to extend voting there due to inclement weather.

Finally stopped raining up in the northeast corner, though the reports are for freezing rain, ice pellets, and snow, a light wintry mix. That's from Cleveland to the Warren/Youngstown area (by the PA line).

As always, so many absurd comments submitted by pro-obama fanatics. I submitted this (may not last long given CNN's moderation practices):

Yet another page of Obama propaganda. Are these people PAID to swarm every website with pro-obama, anti-hillary rubbish? It's like being back in little school. Grow up. Hopefully Clinton will put an end to this fiasco soon and emerge as the clear favorite. Sooner or later Obama's ship will sink and everyone will be flocking to Hillary

Hi Jayling--Great to have "eyes" right there in Ohio! Sorry to hear about the sucky weather. Here's hoping it keeps the Obamaites away 'cause We Know Hillary Supporters are Tough!! Please keep us posted.
Go OH, TX, RI and VT! Go Hillary!

With all due respect to the people of Jefferson County, let's hope that Hillary has the state sealed in her favor. Then their votes can just add to her tally. :)

Also, the comments on CNN about what is going on disgust me. Obamians are more concerned that this seems like "rigging," than about those voters getting to vote and not have to risk their life to do it. Not to mention the fact that it's a natural disaster. Their ignorance astonishes me!

I'm shocked, they actually approved mine:

Reading the ignorance of some of these comments really scares me. People are so concerned about Obama and less concerned about what is going on in Ohio with the weather and flooding. It's quite disturbing.

It's good to see that Ohio cares more about their citizens!

One of my best friends is working today in Cleveland as a "legal poll observer". I would call her to see how things are going but she probably can't get to the phone. But I feel better knowing she's out there keeping an eye out.

And yay for getting to vote, Jayling. I'm so jealous of you all who have already voted or are voting today. April 22 can't come soon enough!!

So, were you able to convince that undecided voter? ;) Hehehehehehe

You'd probably know better than we would, what kind of voting will Cleveland and Youngstown be doing? Are they Clinton or Obama leaning?

Sorry, I love having actual accounts from the state!

Great comment, Murray! The Obama campaign has so much $$ I wonder if they Do pay people to swarm and overwhelm websites with their propaganda. Out here in my area (Rockville, MD, a 'burb of D.C.), there were reports of "street money" used to pay people to vote Obama. And this isn't the only place that happened. I wrote to the Wash Post to follow up on that story, but nothing came of it.

Whenever I post pro-Hillary comments on CNN, they never seem to get posted. Sure hope they post your comment. Let us know.

I didn't dare try to campaign as we were standing at the polling stations -- though I did flip my hair out of the way so a big blue Hillary button shone through!

The Cleveland area will most probably be for Obama. It has a huge African-American community. Warren/Youngstown dang well better be Clinton Country! If not, I'm moving to Canada... *snick

The 2 Congressional Districts that have the highest amount of Delegates available in Ohio are Cuyahoga (Cleveland) with 8, and the next highest is my area Warren/Youngstown with 7. The demographics around Warren are over 90% white and 8% black.

There's 7.8+ million registered voters in Ohio.
There's 7.8+ million registered voters in Texas.
There's 421,595 registered voters in Vermont.
There's 665,091 registered voters in Rhode Island.

Anxious I am!!

Cleveland has a pretty decent sized Jewish community too (I have friends from that area) and I'm guessing they'll go for Hillary. :)

aargh, ugly news here:

http://politics.ohio.com/

Some registered Independents in Canton were not allowed to vote for Hillary.

And 2 Hillary supporters carrying signs were attacked last night night in Akron.

What the heck is wrong with this country? Is this the type of 'change' Mr. Obama and his bullying minions are interested in?

yoi...

That's ok! Sometimes subtle hints can make a difference. Here's hoping that it did this time. :)

Thanks for the statistics on Ohio. I figured that Cleveland was primarily African-American. Cincinnati too, right? Wasn't sure on Youngstown, but those percentages sound really nice. Here's hoping she can keep it close with white males and then white females can push her over. :)

Btw, did anyone see the report that they did on C-Span last night about the Zogby polls. In Ohio, as of Monday, she was beating Obama in the 18-24 bracket by about 2 to 1. I found that VERY fascinating. Of course, Zogby was trying to explain that most times it was 18-29 and that 18-24 was a small percentage. But I found it great news if it's true!

Wow, I can't believe that two people were attacked for holding signs. That's deplorable behavior!

And such a shame about the Independents. Granted, if they tend to break Obama's way, that might not be a bad thing. Should be interesting tonight for sure!

Here's an interesting article about some crossovers in Chagrin Falls (east of Cleveland).

7 people voted for Clinton
1 person for Obama

Only 1 lady who voted for Hillary did it for spite, the other 6 sounded like they respect her. One was a nun :)

This makes eleven times now I've heard stories of Hillary supporters being bullied or attacked during this campaign. Yet another angle that the media and the DNC are ignoring. Behaving as if this is just any old regular election.

Very interesting article, Jayling. In some previous primaries, it seemed that more crossovers were voting for Obama. Now maybe the tide has turned and more crossovers are voting for Hillary, at least in Ohio. And about voters there being attacked just because they had Hillary signs--that's awful--what kind of thugs support this so-called "movement" -- sure makes you wonder.

Hi,
I have many relatives in Ohio (mostly cousins), since my mom was born and raised in rural southwestern Ohio. Most of these relatives are Republicans, though, and very conservative. But one of my brothers and his wife live in a suburb of Columbus. I just heard from my sister-in-law, and she said that after a couple of months of wavering back and forth between Obama and Hillary, she voted for Hillary. Yay!

That surely is good news, SwiftFox!

In that GOP Crossover link, someone responded with this:

Here's an early exit poll result from two precincts in Trumbull County:
Of 84 Democratic voters who responded, 78 (92%) voted for Hillary Clinton and only 6 (8%) voted for Barack Obama.

Now, I don't know where they got this information from, so take it with a grain. I've been searching hours on end trying to find early exit poll info on the net, but nada so far.

But truth be told, I can easily see what he said as true. Trumbull County is where I live (Warren, Ohio). Of course it all depends on which precincts they are, the demographics and such.

Still, I loved seeing that 92%!!
