Murray, please forgive me for my cynicism, but I don't trust anything from the Main Stream Media anymore. Have you noticed that their numbers don't match from one network to the next? Their iffy math caused alarm bells in me over a month ago.
For Delegate counts, that actually show the math, I use GreenPapers. Tony's numbers and mine come closer than anything the MSM shows. Some Delegates aren't able to figured in yet due to the complicated rules that each different state has.

:)
Your cynicism is well justified!
Now we can monitor if they report the numbers differently from the site you have linked to!
Also - what time do the polls close in Ohio, Jayling?

We've all been burned too often, huh!
The polls close in Ohio at 7:30pm EST.
I'm afraid it may not be until early morning before the Cleveland area has their votes counted though:

CNN Texas Exit Poll:

VERY CLOSE...
CNN Exit Poll for Ohio:

59% of voters were female: 54% of women voted for Clinton, 45% for Obama
41% of voters were female: 52% of males voted for Obama, 47% for Clinton
If these figures hold true, Clinton should win Ohio!

heh! Not sure where they're getting their numbers from. The Secretary of State sent out a correspondence to all counties that no numbers can be released until after 9pm. They went to a Judge again to extend the voting in Sandusky until 9, and there's some issue going on in Cuyahoga (Cleveland) again. As usual!

Right now, I wish I HADN'T [finally] gotten around to registering to vote here in CA. If I hadn't, I could've voted in the TX primary and--OF COURSE--my vote would've gone to Hillary. (I was glad, though--after years of living in Texas--to finally be part of a "blue state" result after the California primary, in which we overwhelmingly voted for Clinton. :D)

I heard they ran out of paper ballots in some places so they are extending in some places........???
Deb, the Obama camp made a formal request to extend the voting in Cuyahoga and Franklin counties (both strongholds of O's camp), saying there were reports of not enough ballots.
Cuyahoga (Cleveland) large black community
Franklin (Ohio State) college kids
There are districts where Hillary is on top.

Don't worry, there's 7.8+ Million registered voters in Texas, and the same amount in Ohio. It's gonna be a looong night :)
The Texas results at this point are distorted because they are reporting on Obama's strong areas (urban areas) first...

oh, and according to their real-time results on the Secretary of State's site, it says 'early votes'. And Texas had over 700,000 early voters for Dems. I'm guessing, guessing mind you, those are what are being fed through first.

Good point. And exit polls from the early voting suggested he was ahead with those so we shouldn't be surprised at this point. But I read somewhere that 60% of voters had already voted before today?

No, they had 959,666 total early voters. 242,197 Reps, and 717,469 Dems. That's out of 7,815,905 million registered Texas voters.

I just wonder how many school buses they brought in from other states! Or is it like Wisconsin that they are not checking ID and you did not have to vote in your precinct? I read at OB blogs posts the night of Wisconsin primary few students who were happy to say they voted 4-5 times for him. The posts were taken down very fast. Interesting how Mr. Dean does not want to count my one vote in Florida for Hillary but has no problem counting several votes by same individual by OB supporters.

It's definitely a stressful night. I'd give anything for Hillary to win tonight in Texas too. Three out of four when polls had her down in OH and TX would be a HUGE comeback for her and really start a surge.
Now if we can get something sorted for Michigan and Florida.

Jayling, it's a great day to be an Ohioan, eh? Enjoy the day and thank you for all you did to help out and for all the reports. Sorry to hear that your power went out, but what a way to return!
I think one of the things that's most encouraging about Ohio is the fact that the county that Cleveland is in didn't overwhelmingly go for Obama. They kept saying that he needed to rack up big numbers there and he never did. At one point last night, she was actually in the lead in that county.
He also seemed to fail in Toledo where he had early leads but she rallied and apparently won the county. For me, that's another strong sign for her given the fact they said he needed to rack up numbers there too.
Ohio really is an important state when it comes time for the general election. The rural areas are going to have to rally behind the DNC candidate and they overwhelmingly spoke that Clinton was that candidate. They had the chance to side with Obama and momentum, but they knew he's not the right choice. The DNC really needs to look at Ohio and see if they want to win it in November or not. If they want to win it, they need to consider Clinton!
Oh, and on a funny note, nice to see that Clinton County went to Senator Clinton. YAY! :D
Reminiscing...I had a great time Tuesday night watching the results come in. Texas was very stressful early on and it was SOOO exciting to see HRC take over from BO in the overall votes...

I have to admit, I was very nervous on Tuesday. Even with the polls breaking her way, I knew that anything could happen. Ohio had me nervous because of the storms there. And then Texas had me worried with all the early voting and we know that favored Obama.
As the night started, I knew Vermont was a goner. When Ohio started and the Obama campaign started in with Cleveland and extending the voting, I was worried. When Rhode Island didn't get called right off the bat, I worried. But once Rhode Island was called and she started pulling away, I knew the streak had ended. Ohio started looking more and more promising as the votes came in and she built up a huge lead. Then Texas started rolling in and he built it up quick. But slowly, she chipped away. Ohio was called as she won all but five counties. And she started pulling away in Texas. When it was called at 1am EST, I was THRILLED!!!! It was a roller coaster, but getting off the ride was worth the whole ride as I knew we had far more peaks than valleys!

Apparently, The Wyoming Caucus that Hillary lost by 2,000 votes resulted in more of a delegate differential for Obama then Hillary's huge 3 out of 4 victories (Ohio, Texas, Rhode Island, loss in Vermont).
Caucuses stink when such a low number of voters (88% less voters per selected delegate in caucus states) keep going to the same candidate yet that candidate loses 8 out of 10 of the biggest states in the country.

The fact is simple. And this article captures it the best:
Salon.com: If the system made sense, Clinton would be far ahead
http://www.salon.com/opinion/feature/2008/04/07/hillary/index.html
By Sean Wilentz
Under a winner-take-all primary system, Hillary Clinton would have a wide lead over Barack Obama -- and enough delegates to clinch the Democratic presidential nomination by June.
Excerpts:
The continuing contest for the Democratic presidential nomination has become a frenzy of debates and proclamations about democracy. Sen. Barack Obama's campaign has been particularly vociferous in claiming that its candidate stands for a transformative, participatory new politics. It has vaunted Obama's narrow lead in the overall popular vote in the primaries to date, as well as in the count of elected delegates, as the definitive will of the party's rank and file. If, while heeding the party's rules, the Democratic superdelegates overturn those majorities, Obama's supporters claim, they will have displayed a cynical contempt for democracy that would tear the party apart.
These arguments might be compelling if Obama's leads were not so reliant on certain eccentricities in the current Democratic nominating process, as well as on some blatantly anti-democratic maneuvers by the Obama campaign. Obama's advantage hinges on a system that, whatever the actual intentions behind it, seems custom-made to hobble Democratic chances in the fall. It depends on ignoring one of the central principles of American electoral politics, one that will be operative on a state-by-state basis this November, which is that the winner takes all. If the Democrats ran their nominating process the way we run our general elections, Sen. Hillary Clinton would have a commanding lead in the delegate count, one that will only grow more commanding after the next round of primaries, and all questions about which of the two Democratic contenders is more electable would be moot.
Crucially, Team Obama doesn't want to count the votes of Michigan and Florida. (And let's note that in a winner-take-all system, Clinton would still be leading in delegates, 1,430 to 1,257, even without Michigan and Florida.) Under the existing system, Obama's current lead in the popular vote would nearly vanish if the results from Michigan and Florida were included in the total, and his lead in pledged delegates would melt almost to nothing. The difference in the popular vote would fall to 94,005 out of nearly 27 million cast thus far -- a difference of a mere four-tenths of 1 percentage point -- and the difference in delegates would plummet to about 30, out of the 2,024 needed to win. Add those states' votes to the totals, and take a sober look at Clinton's popular-vote victories in virtually all other large states, and the electoral dynamic changes. She begins to look like the almost certain nominee
The exclusion thus far of these two vital states has come about because of an arbitrary and catastrophic decision made last year by Howard Dean and the Democratic National Committee. Two democratic options are available to clean up the mess: Either relent by including the existing Michigan and Florida results or hold new primaries there.
Yet in this, as has happened more than once this primary season, the Obama camp's reaction has not been to clean up the mess the party has created, but to benefit from it. Given the original primary outcomes in Michigan and Florida, Obama has rejected the idea of certifying the results. Although Obama's supporters conducted a stealth "uncommitted" campaign in Michigan after he voluntarily removed his name from the state ballot, and even though, contrary to DNC directives, his campaign advertised in Florida, Clinton still won both states decisively.
Yet the Obama campaign has stoutly resisted any such revote in either state. In Michigan, Obama's supporters thwarted efforts to pass the legislation necessary to conduct a new primary. In Florida, campaign lawyers threw monkey wrenches to stop the process cold, claiming that a revote would somehow violate the Voting Rights Act, and charging that a proposed mail-in revote would not be "fraud proof." (Obama himself, it's important to note, proposed a bill in 2007 to allow for mail-in voting in federal elections.)
Instead, Obama's campaign has tendered the startling proposal that he arbitrarily be allotted half of the votes already cast in Michigan and Florida.
By any definition of democracy, those votes do not belong to Obama; nor do they belong to Hillary Clinton, nor to Howard Dean. They belong to the voters. Obama can no more lay claim to them legitimately than his supporters can declare he has won the nomination before the remaining primaries take place.
Obama's totals thus far have come in great part from state caucuses nearly as much as from actual primaries. Clinton's victories, by contrast, have come overwhelmingly in states with primaries, not caucuses. Obama is certainly entitled to the delegates he won in the caucuses. But he can hardly, on that account, claim that he is clearly the popular favorite.
In 2004, Democrats lost most of the states where Obama's delegates come from now. The Democrats are likely to lose most of those states again in 2008, no matter how much his supporters speak of winning crossover votes. The arithmetic here is simple: Because of the flawed system, the delegates from the states that Obama has won, many of which vote strongly Republican, represent far fewer Democratic voters than those from the states Clinton won.
Obama has tried to reinforce his democratic bona fides by asserting his superior electability, and by claiming that Clinton's supporters are more likely to back him in November than vice versa. The polls, however, show otherwise.
In the final analysis, though, the fights inside the Democratic Party aren't really about either an ideal American democracy or the American democracy that actually exists. According to the Obama campaign, democracy is defined as whatever helps Barack Obama win the Democratic nomination. There is nothing intrinsically wrong with a candidate arguing this way. But everybody should see it for what it is -- not something new or transformative, but one of the oldest ploys in the playbook of American politics.

Just a word to all of you out there -- please don't believe the recent talk in the MSM about BHO gaining delegates in Texas. The total delegate count will not be decided completely until June 6th, our state convention. As I was reading this thread, I noticed concern about Senate District 26 -- as a proud delegate for Hillary at that in that district, I can tell you, firsthand that we won our senate convention by a 3 to 1 margin! We have a very strong supporter for Hillary as our State Senator, Leticia Van De Putte, and she has done a lot for the campaign here (San Antonio). In addition, there have been NUMEROUS reports and complaints of irregularities in the BHO camp, such as non-voters signing in at the senate district convention and BHO staffers posing as elected delegates. So, before it is all over, we may win Texas even bigger than originally thought!! But, don't hold your breath waiting for MSNBC to tell you!!

Did I miss something? I could have sworn Hillary won TX but then I saw something that showed that he had more delegates but then I read the statement above my reply that says it's not over until 6/6. What's the truth?

In response - Texas had a primary and a caucus.
Hillary won the primary/popular vote. Obama won the highly contested caucus. The delegates are chosen according to the numbers, big math calculation-made me dizzy!
Then we had the county/senate district convention to determine which candidate gets to take how many delegates on to the state convention.
The state convention (June 5-7) will determine which candidate gets to take how many delegates to the national convention.
So, no, it is not over yet in Texas and won't be until at least June 7, 2008 and maybe even later.
It really isn't over until I sing and I ain't singin' quite yet!:)
I also am a Hillary delegate to the state convention!
HILLARY FOR PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!!!
