I wonder if there's time to get a ground team in action for the state or if they are just going to concede it to Obama.
I wonder if there's time to get a ground team in action for the state or if they are just going to concede it to Obama.
They should concede NOTHING!!!
There is a campaign office from what I see in the link above.

Let's hope they get the troops out to rally Wyoming behind her.
I've already emailed HQ's to tell them not to concede Wyoming. I'll call there tomorrow morning. I would definitely like to make phone calls for them on Thurs. and Fri. morning before I go to work.
Anyone here from Wyoming?

1. Call the main headquarter's in VA and tell them not to concede, we want to make calls.
2. Call the Wyoming headquarter's and let them know we are supporting them by making calls. Do they have a cacaus there? By now, we all know how that works, and we can probably answer questions for them. When I called Texas, a lot of the volunteers had no idea what was going on.
3. Write letters to all of the Wyoming papers: Here is the link
http://www.usnpl.com/wynews.php
Just send a quick note as to why Hillary is the best choice to president, or go to the opinion section to see if there a story you can comment on there.

We need to fight for every state left in this race. Personally I think BO should step down but I know that is not going to happen. Hillary will be the democratic nominee because she has won all the big states. BO has won 1.
Personally I think BO should step down but I know that is not going to happen.

The Campaign said that they are trying to set up the call function on Hillary's web site.
I asked about "cultural issues" and information that people calling from out of state might want to know about before we try to help. She fully understood what I was asking.
She said to do a soft sell--just getting people out to caucus.
She said to say that we are volunteers working for Wyoming for Hillary
(and not mentioning we are from out of state if we can help it).
She also noted that Wyoming folks are very proud of the fact that they were the first state to give women the vote and that they were also the first to elect a woman governor.
Finally she said if we call to make sure we get a list of the caucus sites because people might want that info. These late states never counted on being in play so voters may be confused.
I already posted the caucus site in previous thread. So get on with the call when you can.

I want to push the DNC to start setting up a monitor system at these caucuses!! Obama is winning them of course with republicans sitting for him BUT there has been a lot of intimidation going on too and a lot of other shenanigans. We need more monitors!

I would just tell people to bring their camera to the caucus and record anything out of order. That will already scare Obots off.

This is the only way he can win them! I think the Texas voting showed this up. Hillary won the popular/primary vote - where shady behavior is much more containable - but Obama looks like winning the caucus voting which from all reports was total chaos. Mmmm...I wonder why... The caucus system is a complete JOKE and is not a valid or reliable way to assess public sentiment. It's a system vulnerable to abuse through intimidation, bullying behavior, and cheating. The only FAIR way to assess the voting wishes of the public is through an anonymous primary, 1 vote per registered voter, done privately. To me the caucus results are meaningless, especially in the context of the kinds of reports we have heard regarding the behavior of some of these in the Obama camp.

Thanks so much for this for checking into these links, I only had time to look in at one paper today. I didn't write anything, but I did vote in some poll about beef. I'm not kidding.
It also proves that Hillary supporters know where the beef is! The caucus' are completely ridiculous, and unfair. Being able to get a bunch of people together to scream at other people is not right.

To everyone who inquired about calling Wyoming (March 8) and
Mississippi (March 11), but Hillary's site only gave you the option
of calling Pennsylvania (April 22):
The reason her headquarters gave, is that those two first states are
very small and they have people calling locally already. They may
release some extra calling for Mississippi if needed, but if they had
all of us call at once, it would be too overwhelming for those small
states and may work against us because voters will get sick of all
the calls.
However, they do need people to start calling Pennsylvania voters and
letting them know we not only need their support come election day ,
but we also ask for their support in volunteering some of their time.
The people who actually live in Pennsylvania can go door to door, or
help at the local headquarters, or do some fundraising, etc.
And we cannot stress enough to all supporters how much Hillary needs
donations right now. The Obama camp has advertising on practically
every political page I browse lately. She has to compete. The last
time we had a big push and raised a big total for her, she was able
to get those TV ads in Ohio and it worked--it worked big time. (For
those who can afford it, keep in mind that the total any one
individual can donate in this primary election is $2300 and then
another $2300 in the general election.)
I don't know about you guys, but I'm really excited about everything
that's going on. Hillary has momentum from her recent wins, Hillary
has voters demanding Florida and Michigan be counted, and Hillary has
all of us working working VERY hard for her.
It's all good!!! Let's keep up the GREAT work!

------When should I arrive at the caucus?-----------
Please arrive at your caucus location at least 30 minutes prior to your caucus start time. Only voters in line when the caucus convention is called to order are allowed to participate.
------Do I need to bring anything?-----------------You are not required to have a ID in order to participate, and the caucus is free and open to the public. But you may need to wait outside briefly, so dress appropriately!
-------Will I be required to speak?----------------
No. You are not required to speak at the event -- simply cast your vote for Hillary!
---Can I leave after casting my vote for Hillary?---
Yes. After the presidential preference poll is completed, you may leave the caucus if you do not wish to be a delegate.
I got this off the BO website and of course inserted Hillary's name. They are really putting forth an effort to educate the WY voters. Let's educate Hillary supporters--quickly!!

Wyoming led the country in womens' suffrage, might as well lead in getting a woman president.

She needs to fight for Wyoming and Mississippi. Taking a "pass" just doesn't work any more. Look what that did for Guiliani. And when Hillary told Obama, "See you in Texas" I think it ticked the people in Wisconsin off. ALL STATES MATTER. Even if the delegate rewards are small, or even if they get the same amount, each state "won" adds to the momentum and momentum is what it is all about right now.

Not to worry. Hillary isn't conceding anything. Bill is already in WY and en route to MS. Ads are running in WY (got that from MSM, can you believe it?)
Hillary just spoke in MS and she's fighting for every delegate along the way.
The HRC camp needs more money to compete in PA in the 'burbs.
She promised to go all the way and I think her comments tonight in MS were right on the money.

Hi all!
I'm taking off tomorrow from work to make calls. I will take Santacruzen's advice regarding WY after I make a few calls there, and see how people react.
So good to see everyone here. As far as contributing money-I think we all need to come together as a group to figure out how to get more money to Hillary. I'm running out. Those of us who live near each other should have a fundraiser...IMaybe we should do a united blog and send it out in an e-mail in support of Hillary to everyone on the planet? I know IllloveHillguy will have an idea for that! love all the buttons on top of this page. How can I get those for myspace? Does anyone know?
I need some input and ideas here.

Do you know the rules about corporations donating or anything like that. I'm maxed personally, but can certainly do more through my business, but I can't find the info on it. I'm going out in the morning to panhandle my neighbors some more and then make calls.

We need to continue making phone calls to Wyoming. To do this, please use the automated calling tool as described below. Remember, we need to call all 65k voters in Wyoming, and inform them of the caucus. At the end of the phone instructions, find the addresses for all the caucus sites in Wyoming. Happy calling!
Step 1. Dial in. 1-866-XXX-XXXX
If asked for your phone number, just press # [pound sign]
If asked for your extension, just press #
Step 2. When requested, punch in your Agent ID XXX XXX#
Step 3. When requested, punch in the PIN XXXX #
*SKC note - I have the number, Agent ID, and PIN saved. If you want them, feel free to send me a message and I can give you the details. Thank you to Leekosagrios for posting this, especially the caucus locations. But want to make sure these don't get in the "wrong" hands. Like I said, feel free to message me (skc1976) and I can give you the info. Happy calling!*
You will then hang up while the system finds you a person. When the phone rings, pick it up and start talking. Someone (name unknown) will be on the other line. (Note: this system usually does reach an answering machine. Most calls will be "live" but leave a message if you do get a machine.)
When you hear a beep start talking.
Hi, my name is _________________ and I'm a volunteer calling on behalf of Hillary Clinton's campaign to remind you that the Wyoming Caucus is coming up on Saturday, March 8th.
Hillary Clinton has spent the past 35 years fighting for American families and she has real solutions to tackle the tough issues we're facing, like the rising cost
of Health Care. I'm supporting Hillary because she has a record that I know we can depend on.
==> Can Hillary count on your support at the Caucus on Saturday, March 8th?
[IF YES]— Great! You should plan to arrive at your Caucus early.
==> Do you know where your caucus location is and the start time?
[IF YES…Knows caucus location]
Great. We are so happy to have your support. Remember, Hillary is counting on you to show up and be counted at the Caucus this Saturday. Please encourage your friends and family to join you to caucus for Hillary.
[IF NO…NEEDS caucus location]
Okay, what county are you in? Hold on for just a second while I look that up for you. [look up, by county, and deliver caucus info] SEE BELOW
==> Also, can you help us by spending a few hours to call other people like yourself and asking them to caucus for Hillary?
Again, thank you for your support. Together we are going to make history.

Hillary Clinton is the only candidate in this race with a Healthcare plan to cover every American.
After 8 years of President Bush, we need someone who will deliver urgent solutions to the big economic problems we face by ending our housing crisis and jumpstarting our economy.
As President, Hillary will rebuild the middle class, curb the influence of the special interests, and restore this country to greatness.
Hillary has the experience to meet the tough challenges of the Presidency with real solutions because she knows solutions come from listening.

Just received email:
They need help calling during the day today and calling until 9pm Mountain Time (11pm EST) tonight for Get Out the VOTE for tomorrow.
-----------------------------
Today's script and an update from the campaign 3/7/08 11:33am
The script we’re using to call Wyoming today is the same one as yesterday – but I’ll attach it in case you deleted yesterday’s email. First, though, I want to give you an update from the campaign.
Thanks in large part to your hard work calling Texas, our campaign has lots of momentum moving forward. Wyoming is a state where we have the opportunity to keep that momentum going. But with less than 24 hours to go until Caucus time, there is a lot of work to be done to ensure a strong showing for Hillary there.
Wyoming is truly a state where every vote will count. There are only about 40,000 registered Democrats in Wyoming and only Democrats can participate in the caucuses, so it’s very likely that the statewide outcome there will be decided by just a handful of votes. That’s why your help there is so important, and that’s why we’re asking everyone who is making calls today to make them for at least 2 hours.
You are also invited to a special conference call for our best volunteers tonight with Wyoming Get out the Caucus Director Justin Burchard. Justin knows our strategy on the ground in Wyoming as well as anyone and will be discussing how your help fits in to our plans there.
The call will be at 7 PM Eastern Time, and I’ll send you the dial-in info as soon as I get it.
Today, we are especially looking for help on the phones in the daytime. We are starting our calls to Wyoming right now, and we could definitely use your help for 2 hours in the day. Then you can call in and hear Justin’s update in the evening.
Of course, if you can’t call during the day, we still need lots of help this evening and will be calling Wyoming until 9 PM Mountain time.
Thank you for all that you’ve done for the campaign. We would not be in the great position that we are today without all your help. You are a part of this campaign – don’t forget it.
Yours in the fight,
Jon

Hi everyone...
I'm having reservations about having the phone script and phone numbers to the activation system posted here in public forum. That information was sent to volunteers who have a track record of using the phone calling tool on the web site, and was not given out to all volunteers. For one thing, I would hate to see it abused by the other side. Also, a post on the regular Hillary blog says that they checked about the option to call Wyoming == Because there is only 40,000 Democrats registered in Wyoming, they didn't want to get backlash from folks getting called too often. They want to have some control over it. So note to ADMIN - this may be a perfect example of having some sections that are only open to registered members.
Maybe for now if those posts can be edited by taking out the call in toll free numbers and ask that if anyone wants to use the system, to call Wyoming HQ or national HQ and request to get the script sent. ~ Thank you, Kathy

Kathy,
I went ahead and pulled out the information and I invite anyone that wants it to send me a message and I can give you that info. Thanks for the heads up and suggestion. Don't want it in the "wrong" hands. And thanks to Leekosagrios for all the information too! :D

I'll be posting here throughout the day. You can now make calls to Wyoming from Hill's website. This is proof that our voices are being heard by Hillary, b/c the campaign was not planning on letting us make calls to WY through her website.
Caller response:
Running into that old "I don't like Hillary" from some women. Women can sexist too, whether they mean to or not, -I myself scrutinized Hillary the most before she earned my vote.
If you run into a caller like this, ask them what they don't like about Hillary, and while being nice, diffuse what they are saying with the facts, etc...Ask them to check out Hillary at www.hillaryclinton.com and to reconsider their vote.
So note to ADMIN - this may be a perfect example of having some sections that are only open to registered members.
Noted. And please remind me to do it.

Yes, Carla... I just noticed that they added Wyoming to the site's calling tool, which is nice, because you have a name and town to go by. I have been looking up the caucus location first for the town before I call so I have that at my fingertips. Only thing is I just called someone who said it's the 6th call reminding him about the caucus... maybe the other 5 were obama calls, I didn't get the chance to ask. But everyone I've talked to , on the activation tool and through the site, have been Hillary supporters. One person laughed and hung up on me... maybe because he's been getting so many calls! This concerns me, and makes me wonder if I should just move on to Penn. calls.

Please remind people in Wyoming and other caucus states to go early. Obama people are good at trying to lock out Hillary supporters at caucuses.

Well, I made 50 calls and did not get good responses. I left a lot of vms.
Here are the reasons why I think I got the responses I did, and what we need to change certain perceptions about Hillary.
WY is a super-red state, and it will go red in the general election. This is the state that Cheney is from, so I'm sure have a pre-disposition to hating Hillary from all the abuse she has taken over the years from the republican right.
The easiest thing for someone to do who is a democrat in WY? Vote for Obama b/c at least then they don't have to take any #%@ about being for Hillary. We need to change this perception. If more of us blog and talk about Hillary, more people will feel less intimated by the Hillary supporters and the over-zealous Obama supporters.
Also, like I said earlier, a lot of people say they don't like Hillary, but they don't know why. They say they like Obama but they don't know why. This is our opportunity to say, well, while Obama is a good candidate, Hillary is better, because of all the work she has done for our country as a U.S. Senator, First Lady, and as an advocate for Children. Go to the facts hub on Hillary's site and you will find plenty of great stuff there.

Got this off of hillaryspeaksforme.com (seems like we can write even if we don't live in Washington .. I'm sure the obamabots are):
Everyone who lives in Washington should go to
http://www.wa-democrats.org/index.php?page=display&id=277
and lobby the Washington delegates!

I agree the voting results in TX provide very solid evidence that caucus results (particularly caucuses held in the evening) are not reflective of the results of a popular vote. Caucuses are skewed. They favor those who can get out and be there at a specific time on a specific evening. Those who may have to be at work for that hour have no voice. Those who are elderly and not able to get out at night have no voice. Those who have small children and can't get out in the evening with them have no voice. The TX results really show this...for if caucuses were a true reflection of the vote, then given Hillary won the popular vote, she would also win the caucus vote.
if caucuses were a true reflection of the vote, then given Hillary won the popular vote, she would also win the caucus vote.
Exactly. If ever there was a good example of how caucuses DON'T directly reflect popular opinion, Texas is it.

HI all,
http://www.hillaryisourchoice.com/feedback_caucus.htm
I have a form where you post issues that came up in WY with caucuses .
maybe even voice why caucuses give Obama an advantage. I already have a story of how one was dis-enfranchised.
Go fill out the form with your story. I'll pass it on.
also go to your local democratic party
http://www.wyomingdemocrats.com/
and express your concerns

I agree some forums should be closed to discuss senstive information-I would also go as far as to suggest that you have to be be a well known member to get in. Sorry if this is harsh, but I'm still in recovery from Hillary bashers.

WY is an open caucus. Does that mean Repubicans can vote? I just checked the totals for WY and Hill is down abut 1300 people, which given reasons I've stated before, isn't too bad, all things considered.
So, I'm thinking that there a lot of Republicans crossing over or once again, Obama is using the "using the youth" to get himself elected. I don't see how the democratic party can nominate Obama based on the tactics he used in this election. While his campaign should be commended for getting one up on Hillary in this area, and her campaign gets a thumbs down, for not picking up on it sooner, the fact remains that Obama went to far and has abused the system.
Does anyone have the Mississippi activation sheet to send me via e-mail?

posted on main Hillary blog (info edited from BO's site)
-------Who can caucus?------------------------------
Any Wyoming Democrat who registered by February 22nd is eligible to participate in the caucus and help change Washington by supporting Hillary.
-----Where and when do I caucus?--------------------
Each county has one caucus location. The caucuses are this Saturday, March 8th, but start times vary by county. Find your caucus location and time.
