Which are your favorites and why?
I tend to always go to www.cnn.com first up. But lately I have been tiring of it and going to www.abcnews.com and after that it's probably www.bbc.co.uk

Always CNN, Fox is pro republican 100%
I am boycotting CNN - not watching the channel and only occasionaly looking at their website. They have nothing positive to say about Hillary. And they never approve half the comments submited to their blogs. ABC News website much better I am finding.

Thanks for the info. I will definitely check it out. Commercial media is so biased these days in relation to the election that it's hard to know what's true and what isn't! Thanks to the Internet we can at least do some research for ourselves!

I never have used one source of news. Even the great KnightRidder news sources have been bought out. They had great writers who really did fine reporting. All gone. Everything has been compromised by Corporate news and consolidation.
The Progressive sources like Nation and Truthdig are so ideologically driven to be pure that they are impractical about reality. Politics is the art of the possible. Ideology does not lead to good governance nor success over the long haul.
(I see Hillary's flexible, open source, inclusive, transparent plan for governing as very much the style of Jerry Brown when he was a great governor for California. He never feared the press, the public or hard work. Ideas and the power to sell them and get results was his style and substance. And Jerry was a total Feminist. He appointed Rose Bird to the Supreme Court, and a slew of women to head male only department of the government. One reason California hasn't had a male Senator in decades is Brown conditioned the public to see credentials not gender.)
None of the contemporary new sources can be trusted as a sole source. But as of the last several months, top to bottom, they all are poisoned water. Some things come through okay, but you have to read with filters to glean truth from planted stories, biased slants, spin and total sell-out fabrications bought and sold.
There is no more ethical journalism in any of these organizations.
I believe Huffington has lost her soul, not unlike MoveOn.
The AP which feeds them all is a total pimp organization. Read the bylines carefully when you read their material. Usually there are none. That tells you that it is churned out by a chain of rewriters, editors.
The last bastion of ethical journalism resides in the New Yorker magazine.
Seymour Hersh writes fact-checked articles there.
CBS, NBC, Fox, MSNBC, CNN, are garbage pails with few redeeming features.
Newsweek and Time are generally junk.
The best of all these organizations are their stringers and overseas persons. their top names are all compromised.
And the truth of the matter is The Daily Show and the Colbert report are more trust worthy, and now SNL, mixing humor with the issues. Isn't that sad that we can find more useful news from satiric shows and parody?
Check out The Onion, too.
And Andy Borowitz.
Might as well laugh if you can't trust the Media for information.

This expresses my feelings exactly! I became angry when Move On ran their poll on who their subscribers were supporting. I wrote to them and asked them not to do this, that it was a very divisive move. Then when they came out that they were supporting Obama, I let them know they had received the last donation from me, and the last time I would support anything they were trying to do. Selling their soul indeed!
Also, with CNN on-line and their political ticker...the way they edit the comments from people. SHISH! One night I became so pissed I went through all 120 of the blog comments. They edited out and then chose to publish 90 Pro-Obama comments and 30 Pro-Hillary comments. The anti-Clinton comments were so caustic and hate-filled, it reminded me of the past years of the Republicans anti-anything Democratic like the Rush Limbaugh rantings (Nazi-feminist), Newt Gingrich years etc.
I have a friend who is close to my age, we taught in the same school district for all of our careers. She grew up in Ohio, but lives in Michigan now. In the last sixteen years she has been heavily influenced by the negative tripe and hate-filled rhetoric sputtered by the GOP. She was such a Bush supporter and her entire family in Ohio campaigned for him, held coffees in their home, preached the Bush gospel from their pulpits etc.
She, (and they) now realize how Bush used them to win Ohio, and that they were duped. But, she has such hatred for Clinton. It is so difficult for me to understand, because she seems such a logical, rational person and she cannot explain why she feels this way, other than to spew the right-wing bologna. I have gotten a little off topic here, except to say, I think MSM can be so insidious in the way some people let it creep in to their way of thinking. I do not like BIG MEDIA.:cool:
