but only Fl and MI are being penalized. How would it affect the delegate count if the other states were also penalized?

just checked on real clear politics
59 delegates for Obama 37 delegated for Clinton so not a big difference BUT a good argument for having all the states count, including FL and MI |

The same exact thing that I was wondering. In fact, someone brought it up earlier.

THERE WOULD ABOSOLUTELY BE NO QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS ISSUE IF THESE WERE STATES THAT WOULD HAVE VOTED BO !
The other issue is how come every error mistake , double counting ,spoiled votes and all the other issues have all been favored for BO. This should be a very good issue for the big meeting ! If this all would have been for Hillary you can bet your booty that BO and his supportters would have been screaming disqualify every one of them ! Florda and Michigan should be counted 100% |

Well, if using the 50% penalty, all this would really do is cut in half everyones delegates from those states, keeping them at the same distance from each other as they are now. And if delegates were cut in half, the number needed to reach nomination would also be scaled back.
So, in effect, they'd both be at the same distance as they are right now in delegates from one another. So if Hillary was behind him in Pledged say 100 delegates, she'd still be behind by 100. Did that make sense? I'm still trying to wake up

They followed the rules, it is up to their discretion. In other words, they can give waivers to the other three and punish the usurpers. The first three were supposed to go before Florida and Michigan, so they were allowed to change their scheduled dates by the DNC so they would still go before Florida and Michigan. Again, what makes Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina more important than any other state. States should be allowed to determine their own primary dates, as should be their right. If all want it on January 1st, so be it

If the rules were followed Obama wouldn't get any delegates from Florida

Looks like a big ol' lawsuit just ripe for the pickins'! Wouldn't it be great to finacially destroy the DNC prior to November? Now that might be a very worthwhile cause....
