I am going over to John McCain's website and thank her for acknowledging the glass ceiling and our struggles. She needs to know that there are LOTS of us behind her fight.

You can bet that BO did not see this coming.
I'm listening to his acolyte now on MSNBC, Andrea Mitchell. The tone of her voice and this almost choking quality of her words tells me that she sees this as a real problem for her guy, BO. (I'm gleeful.) |

I gave John McCain a standing ovation and a 10 minute claps. It did not matter that there was no one around except my dog to share that.
Hats off! Bigtime!! |

Remember just a short while ago Obama would not visit the wounded soldiers in Germany but he would take the time to have a rally.

obama made the biggest mistake of his career not choosing Hillary. The Democrats got behind obama so much they didn't even realize what they were doing trying to push Hillary out of the picture. I'm sure Hillary is not happy obama did not make her but she is probably laughing now and preparing for 2012 campaign with the slogan "I told you so"

I am really excited for this choice. She reminds me of my aunts... I may not agree with them on everything, but they are solid Americans with real values and ideals. They know what's at the heart of America, and have strong convictions. I'm thinking this is a great choice.

Info on Palin, the Warrior :
Palin made an unsuccessful bid for Lieutenant Governor, coming in second to Loren Leman in a four-way race. After Frank Murkowski resigned from his long-held U.S. Senate seat in mid-term to become governor, Palin interviewed to be his possible successor. Instead, Murkowski appointed his daughter, then-Alaska State Representative Lisa Murkowski. Governor Murkowski appointed Palin Ethics Commissioner of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, where she served from 2003 to 2004 until resigning in protest over what she called the "lack of ethics" of fellow Alaskan Republican leaders, who ignored her whistleblowing complaints of legal violations and conflicts of interest. After she resigned, she exposed the state Republican party's chairman, Randy Ruedrich, one of her fellow Oil & Gas commissioners, who was accused of doing work for the party on public time, and supplying a lobbyist with a sensitive e-mail. Palin filed formal complaints against both Ruedrich and former Alaska Attorney General Gregg Renkes, who both resigned; Ruedrich paid a record $12,000 fine. Palin, running on a clean-government campaign, executed an upset victory over then-Gov. Murkowski in the Republican gubernatorial primary. Despite the lack of support from party leaders and being outspent by her Democratic opponent, she went on to win the general election in November 2006, defeating former Governor Tony Knowles. Palin said in 2006 that education, public safety, and transportation would be three cornerstones of her administration. When elected, Palin became the first woman to be Alaska's governor, and the youngest governor in Alaskan history at 42 years old upon taking office. Palin was also the first Alaskan governor born after Alaska achieved U.S. statehood. She was also the first Alaskan governor not to be inaugurated in Juneau, instead choosing to hold her inauguration ceremony in Fairbanks. She took office on December 4, 2006. Highlights of Governor Palin's tenure include a successful push for an ethics bill, and also shelving pork-barrel projects supported by fellow Republicans. Palin successfully killed the Bridge to Nowhere project that had become a nationwide symbol of wasteful earmark spending. "Alaska needs to be self-sufficient, she says, instead of relying heavily on 'federal dollars,' as the state does today." She has challenged the state's Republican leaders, helping to launch a campaign by Lieutenant Governor Sean Parnell to unseat U.S. Congressman Don Young and publicly challenging Senator Ted Stevens to come clean about the federal investigation into his financial dealings. Fred Barnes of The Weekly Standard praised Palin as a "politician of eye-popping integrity" and referred to her rise as "a great (and rare) story of how adherence to principle—especially to transparency and accountability in government—can produce political success." |

Sexist comments Watch. Here we go again. On FOX just now two reporters chatting about this landmark choice and Gov. Palin's speech and the closing line from the "man on the ground" was: "The only thing she didn't say was 'Who wants pie I baked some this morning'" to which both reporters shared and celebrated their sexism with a hardy laugh. |

The thunderous sound of running feet is not your imagination! It is the sound of all the women Senator Obama, his campaign,Cnn,MSNBC and the Democrat Party threw aside in the name of change. In spite of what you may have heard, we are still angry. And it is NOT all about Hillary. It is about sexism, caucus fraud, and the disappearance of Democracy in this Party. The roll call vote was a fraud, the convention an embarassing spectacle of excess.I will proudly vote for a McCain/Palin ticket.I can hardly wait for her to tear Biden a new one.And the very fact that the Obama camp makes disparraging comments about her, only shows the maturity level we all know he and his followers have.McCain congratulates him on his choice of Biden,Obama slams McCain and her.Real adult Barack. And this will be why you will not live in the White House any time soon.

I take it that's a reference to Michelle. How apt. Notice how no one is talking about BO's extravaganza today - even on MSNBC. I'm now able to tune in to see how they're getting their undies all in a bunch. That stupid Clarence Page had the nerve to infer she's not ready for big time attention. It's still incredible to me that men underestimate the transferability of leadership ability that many successful women possess. |

This is a joyful day in our history. Our debt of gratitude is to Hillary Rodham Clinton, 18 million prayers, without which none of this would be possible. Tears of joy Tears of joy My husband said, "Honey, YOU did it!" And I realized, he was right. That the people like US did do it. We showed that we would not back down. We made John's choice for him. And he listened. But the person to whom we owe the greatest debt: OUR HERO

I think Palin'll fare better than Hillary on the misogynistic attacks because the GOP are expecting it and have a plan on how to handle it. See how well they nipped the 'racism card' Hussein played so successfully against Hillary.
