I should have responded to the Malcolm X thread that no one seemed to give a shit about. I guess because he was black.

Back to the topic at hand, I was just talking to a midwife yesterday. She tells me that despite --or perhaps because of highly medicalized maternity care in the U.S. that our outcomes are near the bottom of the list of industrialized countries. I think we're number 26 or of 30. kel |

I don't believe in bumping a thread just to bump it. I find that to be very lame.

I wasn't bumping it just to bump it. I was bumping it so people could see it. It's important information for anyone who's pregnant or considering it or who knows someone who is.

They say that there are certain moments in life that stay with you forever, that they are engraved in your mind, and no matter what you do you cannot forget them. Tuesday May Eighth at eight o'clock am is one of those moments for me. It was at that moment when I read the news that Marc Emery was to be extradited to the United States. I'll never forget how I felt when I read that Justice Minister, and it should be noted that I'm using the term justice very loosely, Rob Nicholson had signed the order to take a fellow Canadian, strip him of all his rights, and ship him off to an empire that openly supports torture.ed hardy
I'll never forget the initial rush of emotions that I felt: shock, disgust, anger, it took me over an hour before I could gather my thoughts and begin thinking rationally. It was at that time that I was in tears, I felt sick to my stomach ed hardy schuheand I was disgusted and apalled with what had taken place. I have never been more ashamed of my country than I was at that time. Everything that I had once thought this country stood for, everything that I loved about this country, everything that made me proud to call Canada home was thrown out the window with a single signature. ed hardy kleidung |
